I have always been mesmerized by the beautifully prismatic effect of light flowing through glass. —JoRene

While attending my first fused glass class, the varied textures and colors of artistic glass I encountered flooded me with my favorite childhood memories of peering through kaleidoscopes. I knew immediately fused glass was my passion.
I create fused glass art and enhance metal with glass. Viewers often find Japanese cherry blossoms in my work. Having lived in Japan as a child, I developed a lifelong love of the pink blossoms.

I am also inspired by the Bunka and Oshie art my mother created during our family’s time there. I find fulfillment in creating distinctive glass art with stunning colors and endlessly varied designs.

Almost everywhere I look is another idea for a glass creation. I am eager to make special commissioned pieces i.e. a company logo or a personal remembrance.
A graduate of Fairfield High School, my husband, Kevin Danel and I live in Fairfield. We have two daughters, two granddaughters and a grand-dog. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Human Resources.
