I was born and raised in Fairfield California in 1943 when Fairfield was a very small town. I have never left my roots. My artists life started in 1984 or when I took a clay class in the fine arts department at Solano community college. I was hooked on clay in every form taking all the clay classes available.
In 2001 I joined The Clay Station at Mankas Corner, Fairfield selling my clay creations. One of my raku pieces needed a frame to hang on the wall so I had to figure that out which led me to metal and plasma cutting a frame for my piece.
Plasma cutting metal was so fun for me that I started cutting forms to hang on the wall. Thatâs when my medium in art changed from clay to metal.
In 2018 The Little Art Shop (formerly The Clay Station) moved out of Suisun Valley and into the Tannery Building in Benicia, California.
My pieces of metal art are hung with pride here to be seen, enjoyed, purchased.
