I have always been drawn to the arts. My clearest memories of growing up are my attempts and struggles to create some kind of art. In high school I found a mentor in my art teacher, who helped me put together a portfolio that got me into the Laguna College of Art and Design.
For nearby twenty years I created with oil paints, sometimes on canvas but would experiment on different surfaces, goose eggs, cigar boxes, a few murals. Then about four years ago I started taking ceramic classes at U.C. Berkley. I found the medium exhilarating and a great joy.
I was able to set up a small ceramic studio and have devoted the last two years learning how to be full time artist. I plan on expanding the studio so that I can continue my journey, continue creating and hopefully my art can bring joy to others.
